In February 2023, domestic PVC production reached 1.7893 million tons, down 6.51% from January but up 1.98% year-on-year. The calcium carbide method produced 1.3909 million tons (down 5.40% month-on-month), while the ethylene method yielded 0.3984 million tons (down 10.19% month-on-month). The operating rate was 76.44%, reflecting a decrease of 1.18% year-on-year.

Analysis on PVC production: In February 2023, the domestic PVC production reached 1.7893 million tons, down 6.51% month-on-month while up 1.98% year-on-year. Among them, the production of calcium carbide method was 1.3909 million tons, down 5.40% month-on-month and 3.03% year-on-year. The production of ethylene method was 0.3984 million tons, down 10.19% month-on-month while up 28.81% year-on-year. PVC production accumulated at 3.732 million tons from January to February.

Analysis on PVC plant operating rate: The domestic PVC plant operating rate was 76.44% in February 2023, down 1.18% from last year and decreased by 5.32% month-on-month.
